Elementary
Faber and Faber Curriculum introduces classical piano techniques one concept at a time! The books include interactive learning using colorful cartoons, games, song writing, improvisation, puzzles and other child-friendly activities. Deb supplements these books with Disney songs and other music children enjoy.

Intermediate
During the intermediate level of studies students increase their lessons to 45-60 minutes, and study classical piano literature, improvisation and composition. Intermediate students will be assigned scales, chord work, pop and broadway, and other music that they request. Deb encourages her students to perform in the community.
Adult
Using Alfred’s Adult curriculum, adult students learn basic music and piano fundamentals at a faster pace. Deb aims to teach them to sight read music they enjoy. Adult students learn to play fun, recognizable melodies and basic chords.

Philosophy
Music creates joy in our lives! Students need to have fun and be appreciated during their lessons. Through positive encouragement and gentle correction, I help people of all ages learn to play the piano. I believe music soothes our nerves and heightens our focus. When we enter a state of flow, we are rejuvenated and at peace. Through piano lessons students will develop self discipline, self confidence, and a sense of accomplishment. Playing music prepares us for success and enriches our life.
